The Basement Résistance was founded in 2010 in a small basement studio in Seoul, by June One Kim (Glen Check), Hyuk Jun Kang (Glen Check) and graphic artist Eyejin. It was first formed as a crew responsible for all Glen Check’s music,visuals, live show performances. From 2013, the crew started producing music under different names and developed the idea to make the crew a collective record label.
In mid 2013, fashion designer Daddy Goose joined to build the clothing brand. In late 2013, Nicolas Masson (founder of french electronic label “Shiny Disco Club” and “Palm Off”) joined the collective as a party organizer. In 2014, Adrien Marc and Hyein Kwon joined the crew as promoters.
